I’m Réka. I’ve lived in Switzerland for almost a decade now, and I’ve always found my way back to painting and drawing, even though I never had any formal training. For me, picking up a brush is less about technique and more about finding flow, quieting the everyday noise, and simply being.

My subjects wander: calm landscapes, fire-lit mystic scenes, even a whole series about the life of a capybara — because not everything has to be serious to be worth painting. In a racing, noisy, digital world where a computer can generate almost anything in an instant, I find a different kind of joy in real creation: paint in my hair, colour under my nails, a canvas that actually exists. What makes it worth something is that a person made it — not just a picture pushed out for likes.

Painting is only one part of me. After gymnasium I’m heading for medical university — I want to help people, and I can’t think of a better way to do it.
